I don't like seeing this image. But this will be a reality under the Senate bill PIPA and its House counterpart SOPA.   What is PIPA? PIPA is a poorly envisioned Senate copyright enforcement bill that will censor our Internet and kill jobs in the rapidly growing Internet industry. This bill (and its House counterpart, SOPA) were designed by lobbyists and are being sped through Congress with virtually no debate. Almost every Internet company has strongly come out against PIPA. Why does this matter to me? These bills threatens sites like all three of my webisites, Deviant Art, Zazzle, Cafe Press, ICanHasCheezburger (& its network of sites), Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and any others that rely on user participation. It will allow the government to censor sites and force companies to monitor your email and restrict websites that post or link to infringing content. What can I do? Call your Senator today and tell them to vote against PIPA or go to this site provided by Google.

 

Good News Everyone!  I Bought The Sims 3 (finally)

I officially graduated with my BFA in digital art in May (summa cum laude).  I promptly decided to play through a game I've started 3 times but never finished:  The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. I LOVE that game, especially on the PC with all the glorious mods.  After finishing that I purchased TESIV: Oblivion, again, so I could take advantage of the glorious mods.  It's now January of 2012 and I'm still playing Oblivion (mods are so awesome, especially when they add 100's of hours of gameplay to an otherwise so-so game).  In November, EA ran a huge sale on The Sims 3 so my husband bought me the game, every EP & every stuff pack. Once I finish Oblivion (no more new mod installs, promise) I'm going to start *playing* The Sims 3 and retraining myself on 3D modeling as I learning literally nothing about it in school.  So, long story short, I should hopefully get some TS3 content up something in late spring.  Long wait still, but I'm really excited to start!

Just an FYI, all the meshes here are for The Sims 2, not The Sims 3.  I haven't created new meshes in a long time due to my return to college.  Additionally the last expansion pack I bought was Freetime.  I have no idea if content will work with the EPs that came out afterwards.  If you have the later EPs and content doesn't work, then the content doesn't work.  The category "Open For Business Ready Sets" is in reference to the change EA made to the Open For Buisness expansion pack. When it was released there were some modifications to items from the base game that rendered some items made prior to its release unusable and in some cases crashed your game.  Even if you don't have OFB, if you have EPs that came after OFB, stay in that section for stores.  All content not inside that area, but NOT in the "Pre-Open for Business sets" section, is OFB ready.  I know its confusing but blame EA for introducing updated code for old items.

 I cannot guarantee that any mesh here will absolutely work with your game.  There are too many variables to make the guarantee.  I can only say that it works in MY game and I have updated/removed/repaired any problem items others reported to me.
